The Lo-fi sub genre has many styles. Newer styles feature up-tempo boom-bap drumlines with smooth synth. While a traditional sampling of vinyl/digital riffs, with a filter for a muffled snare/drum is applied.
On either end, an artistic sound is finding its way out.
